After a commercial apprenticeship at Siemens AG in Berlin, he began his professional career in the office center industry in 1995. During this time, he was responsible for sales and organizational areas in various companies, including the world market leader Regus.
Together with Lars Henckel, he laid the foundation stone for CONTORA Office Solutions in 2011. Their goal: to successfully position a new generation of office centers in the market in terms of location, equipment and service, analogous to the 5-star hotel industry.
At CONTORA Office Solutions he is responsible for sales, organization, finance and controlling as well as – together with Lars Henckel – for project development.
Helmut Arend is married and has three children.
He studied business informatics and founded the CONTORA Office Solutions group of companies together with Helmut Arend in 2011. The self-employed entrepreneur began his professional career in 1997 with the founding of his first Internet and advertising agency.
After a stopover at a large media company in Münsterland, he worked from 2003 to 2010 as a partner and managing director for specialists in online and search engine marketing. In 2010 he founded VANAMELAND, an online agency based in Cologne.
In 2015, he was elected Chairman of the Board of the Bundesverband Business Center e.V.. This association represents the interests of the office services industry beyond Germany's borders.
At CONTORA Office Solutions, he is responsible for Human Resources, Marketing and IT as well as – together with Lars Henckel – project development.
Lars Henckel is married and has one daughter.
In mid-2011, the idea was born to establish a new line of exclusive office centres in Germany. The search for unique office properties in premium locations began with the aim of offering a comprehensive service analogous to the 5-star hotel industry.
